Breakfast Sausage Hash
Ingredients:
Breakfast Sausage:
- 1 pound ground chicken, turkey, or venison
- 1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Breakfast Hash:
- 1/2 cup cooked cubed butternut squash
- ½ cup raw peppers diced
- ½ cup raw onions diced
- 1 granny smith apple cubed
- Himalayan sea salt and pepper to taste
- ½ clove garlic
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for breakfast sausage and mix well, setting aside.
- In a large skillet add oil and garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add in apple, peppers, onions and prepared "sausage". Cook until meat is browned and apple/veggies are semi-soft.
- Add in butternut squash and salt and pepper and cook for another minute or two until thoroughly warmed.
