Apple Brussels Sprouts Hash

Apple Brussels Sprouts Hash Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. Brussels Sprouts
  • ½ tbs. avocado oil
  • 1-2 small Granny Smith Apples, diced small
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbls balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup nuts/seeds of choice, chopped (almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds are excellent)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Carefully shred sprouts in food processor or thinly slice.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add avocado oil and Brussels.  Sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. While Brussels are cooking, dice the apples.
  4. Add apples, garlic powder, salt, balsamic vinegar and stir well. Sauté 5 additional minutes.
  5. Add chopped nuts.
  6. Remove from heat and add more salt and pepper to taste.
