French Onion Soup
Ingredients:
- 5 onions
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 ½ tbsp almond flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2-3 drops liquid stevia
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Peel and slice onions very thinly
- In a large pot, melt butter over low heat, and then add olive oil. Add in sliced onions, salt and liquid stevia. Stir and cover. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Peel and mice garlic, adding it to the cooked onions. Continue to cook without a lid until you get a deep golden brown (but not burnt) color.
- Add in almond flour, stir. Pour in beef broth, stir. Cover and cook an additional 20 minutes. Serve hot.
