Baked Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients:

  • 3 green apples (about 3 cups), diced
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon butter, diced (or melted coconut oil)
  • Liquid stevia, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of Himalayan sea salt

Instructions:

  1. To make the baked apples: Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Toss diced apples with cinnamon, liquid stevia, water, and sea salt until well coated.
  2. Spread in a thin layer in a baking dish and speckle with the diced butter.
  3. Place the apples in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the apples from the oven, give a quick stir, spread the apples evenly, and return the baking dish to the oven. Bake for another 15 minutes, until apples are tender and the sauce is thick and caramelized.
  5. Let the baked apples cool slightly and enjoy as desired!
