Blackened Chicken Tenders

Weight Loss Cleveland TN Blackened Chicken Tenders

Ingredients:

CHICKEN:

  • 1.5 lbs chicken tenders
  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon blackened seasoning mix

BLACKENED CHICKEN TENDERS:

  • 2 tablespoon smoked paprika or use regular paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne powder use more for a spicier blend
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl or ziplock bag, combine the chicken, oil and blackened seasoning.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and add the chicken to the pan. Cook on high for 3-4 minutes per side or until charred and cooked through.
  3. Cool for at least 5 minutes before slicing. Enjoy with a side of veggies.
